Big Picture Rally to Cash

Broad Market Outlook
With the end of week sell off in the market, it could not have been a better time to be away from the screens getting sun burned with the tops down with a handful of members instead of watching the red on the screen. I am not superstitious in any sense, other then de-risking before going on a trip. 
As the market continues to race towards macro support, there are quite a few sectors that are hovering right around there own major support just asking to breakdown lower. 
Financials, Telecom, Tech, Bio's, Nasdaq, Mid Caps and Small Caps are all hovering close to there macro support levels. When we see this broad weakness often we need to wait for the shakeouts. 
Just like when most sectors look strong together the market can drift higher and when they all or most look pretty crappy. Its time to roll the windows up and race to cash from an active trading standpoint. 
In range bound markets, its often easy to forget that you need to odd lot your initial emotion. SPY 450-460 when the first thought is to buy, is often the time to think sell, when the SPY is down near 420 to the 400 area where you might be thinking sell everything, the opposite is often wiser. 
When your conviction is at its weakest is often when you can find the best deals if you can sift through the wreckage. Given this overall weak price action, it seems for now we really need to shakeout and test SPY 410 and in reality probably push a bit further to see if 400 will hold or if it needs to break before the next run up back into the upper end of the recent range. 
From an active trading standpoint with 90% of major sectors selling off, cash is king while you put together your shopping list for when the market turns. During the sell off, that day always seems like its years in the future, but its often much closer then we can imagine.
